Click on the answer key to the left to make it bigger. Please check your homework prior to coming to class on Wednesday. Look over the problems that were incorrect, see if you can figure out what you did wrong. If you can't figure it out, see me in Inspire or we will spend 10 minutes max going over questions. Remember if there is a snow day, the test will be on the day that we return!!

Museum Permission Slips & Money

On Thursday, November 19, our team of students will be exploring the Grand Rapids Museum and the Leonardo Di Vinci exhibit. Your child should have brought home a permission slip today. Prior to Monday, please sign the permission slip and have your child return it to Mrs. Slot along with $3 to cover expenses.

(The Northview Education Foundation has funded half of each child's entrance fee to the museum. Thank you to the Northview Education Foundation for helping fund such a great experience for our students!)

Help Needed!!!!

We are looking for chaperones for our upcoming field trip to the Grand Rapids Museum. We will be going to the museum next week Thursday, November 19 from 11:00 to 2:00. If you are interested in chaperoning a small group of students, please contact Kim Slot at kslot@nvps.net

Celebrating Success

Last Friday, students who completed all of their work first term were honored. During Inspire class, students were treated to breakfast and free time which included playing games, socializing, and/or listing to music. Congratulations to those students who worked hard first term. Keep it up!!

Conferences

Conferences are coming soon. Unlike conferences at Highlands and the elementary schools, you do not have to schedule an appointment. You can come during one of the time periods listed below to talk to your child's teachers. The evening times tend to be busier than the day times, so if you can attend during the day you may not have as long of a wait. (Wednesday evening is always VERY busy!) We look forward to talking to you about your child's growth since the start of school.

Here is the conference schedule:

  • Wednesday, November 11 5:00 to 8:00 PM (usually busy)
  • Thursday, November 12 8:oo to 11:00 AM
  • Thursday, November 12 12:30 to 3: 30 PM
  • Thursday, November 12 5:00 to 8:00 PM
If you are unable to attend conferences, and you would like to schedule another time to meet with us, please contact Kim Slot at kslot@nvps.net or 361-3430.

End of the Marking Period

The end of the first marking period is this Friday! We can't believe it. Time sure does fly. The last day to turn in missing work is this week Wednesday. Students also have a book project, a story wheel, due in Inspire on Wednesday. We have been working on this during Inspire class for the last week so most students should have it completed (if they have used their class time wisely).
